The nominations for Best Picture are out! I am so excited that I get to play one of my favorite “games” this year: I will watch and review every movie nominated, and then post my pick on the blog prior to the Academy Awards. Let’s see how I do. I haven’t done this in many years – actually seen them all – since well before they switched from 5 nominees to many (9 this year). You might think I’m an awards show junkie. I assure you, I can’t stand them! I would never waste my time watching them! I have a particular hatred for the Grammy’s – something I consider to be the most corrupt show on TV. The grand exception: The Academy Awards! Often I agree. Sometimes I vehemently disagree. I am often irritated by the politics that always show up in speeches (and even the jokes), but I am always entertained and I wouldn’t miss it.
